For the questions you wouldn’t post under your own name
The people who could help you are already out there. But the most useful questions are the ones nobody wants their boss, a recruiter or old teammates to see. On Primr, you ask under a display name, and everyone answering has been verified.
“What does a superintendent actually make in my market, and what should I counter with?”
“Every interviewer asks how four years of D1 translates to sales. What answer actually worked for you?”
“Recruiters glaze over at my military acronyms. What did you call your job when you got out?”
Example questions. Members choose a display name; their real name, school, unit and employer stay private.
What you can do on Primr

Private by design, not by promise
Nobody outside the Primr team ever sees your real name, unless you tell someone yourself or apply to an employer’s role. Members only ever see your display name and a verified badge.
| Other members | Employers | Primr team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your real name | Never, unless you tell them | Only if you apply to their role | Yes, to verify you |
| Your career profile and resume | Never | Only if you apply, or if you turn on Open to opportunities (without your name or contact details) | Yes |
| What you write in private messages | Only the member you’re messaging. They never see your real name unless you tell them. | Never | Only if one of you reports the conversation |
| Your verification proof | Never | Never | Reviewed, then deleted |
| Pay you share | Only as a combined range, once 3 members share the same role | Never individually | Never who shared it |
Photos, links and business listings you add to your profile can identify you. Your display name is the privacy layer; what else you share is up to you. Primr never sells or shares members’ personal information.
If you competed or served, you’re in
Athletes and veterans share more than people think: years of coaching, reps and accountability, and then a hard jump into a field where nobody speaks your language yet. Primr puts both in one room.
Members are moving into, or already working in, sales & BD operations finance real estate construction & the trades running their own business and more.

Why we built Primr
Former athletes and veterans are some of the best-prepared people in business, and some of the least connected when they make the jump. The people who could help, the ones who already made it, are scattered across old rosters, group chats and LinkedIn. And the most useful questions, about pay, a rough first job or a missed number, are the ones nobody wants to ask under their own name.
Primr is one verified room for those conversations. It’s built for the person making the jump and for the person who made it and wants to help.
Primr is built by athletes and veterans. We’ll introduce the team here soon. Until then, you can reach us directly at hello@joinprimr.com.
What we promise
- We never sell or share your personal information.
- Nobody reads your messages, including us, unless one of you reports a conversation.
- A person verifies every member, and deletes the proof once you’re in.
- Members don’t pay to join. Our plan is for Primr to be funded by employers who hire from the network, never by member data.

What is Primr?
Primr is a private network for verified former athletes and veterans in business. Members post under display names and ask each other for advice, intros and leads, find jobs, see anonymous pay data, use free career and sales tools, and send each other business. Members earn points for helping each other and spend them on real gear.
Who can join Primr?
Anyone who competed or served. Athletes: college at any division, NAIA or JUCO, pro, Olympic, or national-level club, whether you’re still competing or finished years ago. Veterans: any branch and any rank, including active duty, guard and reserve.
How does verification work?
A person on the Primr team reviews every member. Athletes send a public roster link or their LinkedIn profile. Veterans send their LinkedIn profile. Anyone can ask a verified member to vouch for them instead. We never ask for a DD-214, VA ID or other service records. Most people are verified within 48 hours, and we delete what you sent once you’re confirmed.
Will other members see my real name?
No. You post under a display name of your choice. Your real name, school, unit and employer stay private unless you decide to share them. Only Primr admins can see your real name, and an employer sees it only if you apply to their role.
Is Primr free?
Yes. Joining is free. The first 100 verified members, the Founding 100, stay free for life even if dues come later, and earn double points for their first 90 days.
How does Primr make money?
From employers, not member data. Approved companies post roles and search members who choose to be found. That’s free while we launch; the plan is for employers to pay a flat subscription after that. There are no placement fees, and Primr never sells or shares members’ personal information.
Who runs Primr?
Primr is an independent company built by athletes and veterans. We’ll introduce the team on this page soon. You can reach us any time at hello@joinprimr.com.
Can I message other members directly?
Yes. Any verified member can message another one. A first message arrives as a request the other person can accept or decline, and you can block anyone. Messages are private: nobody else can read them, including the Primr team, unless one of you reports the conversation.
How do points and rewards work?
You earn points by helping people: upvotes from verified members, answers marked most helpful, published Playbooks, invites who get verified, and Roster offers that turn into business. Posting alone earns nothing, and earning is capped at 300 points a month. Points unlock tiers (Recruit, Starter, Captain and Legend) and are spent on real gear in the members-only rewards store. Spending never lowers your tier.
Can employers post jobs on Primr?
Yes, approved employers can post roles for free. Employers request access at app.joinprimr.com/hire and agree to use member information only for hiring and to contact members only after they apply or accept an invite. To apply, members set up a career profile once (upload a resume or fill in their experience), and only the employers they apply to see it. Members who turn on Open to opportunities can also be found and invited to roles by approved employers, never by other members.
Is there a phone app?
Primr works in any phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen from app.joinprimr.com. iPhone and Android apps are built and on their way to the app stores.
Does Primr sell member data?
Never. Primr does not sell or share members’ personal information.
Make the jump with people who’ve made it.
